Sosiologia, the Finnish journal of sociology published by the Westermarck Society, calls for papers for its third ever issue in English. Sosiologia is the leading journal for sociological research and debate in Finland. It reaches an extensive readership with about 1500 subscribers and also with a nation-wide library distribution enabled by the national Elektra database. All submitted manuscripts go through a double-blinded peer review process.
We warmly welcome article submissions of various kinds – empirical, methodological, and theoretical manuscripts are all equally welcome. It is preferable, however, that the articles relate to the Finnish society, though manuscripts will not be selected primarily on the basis of their suitability for the theme, but rather based on academic quality.
The call for papers is open for all. However, we encourage submissions in particular from non-native-Finnish faculty, researchers, and PhD students working in Finland, on Finland – you who so far have not had access to Sosiologia due to its language selection. The English issue is planned for publication in 2017.
